2nd pair as my son loved the first and too small now. Light and great fitting skate.
Very comfortable skate, is a little smaller than true to size (buy half a size bigger than normal). Haven't had them for long but I have read about certain durability issues. The carbon fibre weave on the heel and toe seems to lack a little quality (looks and feels pretty cheap. For a top of the line skate I'd expect more from the carbon fibre but at this price point if you're looking for a skate that will last you a season, you won't find a better deal!
Malléable et confortable. Bon feeling avec la glace. Même angle que les Bauer. Gros problème de durabilité. Complètement brisés en une saison et demi. À éviter.
The durability of these skates is awful, do not buy these! I have had mine for just over a year and they have broken down to the point where they are not safe to use. Looks like a good deal, but don't be fooled. Stay AWAY!
I wont be able to test these skates out until winter. But the fit is exact, like they were taylor made for me. I dont need to heat form them. I had a pair of Easton skates before that were on sale for 200, down from 700. And i loved those skates. But for some reason unknown i lost them a few years ago. And ever since i havent found a pair of skates i like. These Easton Mako Skates fit and feel just like my old skates. Though they are a higher quality, they fit my needs.
Purchased approx. 14 months ago and initially was very impressed with the skate and performance within 6-8 months the boot started to deteriorate. I voice my concerns directly to Easton who simply replied you have a 30 day warranty on the boot. To me its seems ridiculous that this 'premium' skate only takes care of boot issues for 30 days, if I were you I would save you money unless you are in the market for a skate for the next 6-8 months. I'm going back to Bauer, far better quality
I purchased these skates over a year ago, since I wear size 14shoes, and pretty much was the only skate I could find that was large enough. Arrived on time, and was a perfect fit. The stance is more aggressive than your regular skates, but after 1 game you get adjusted to it. Their light and feel great!
The skates are very light and comfortable. Since the boot is so stiff it is hard to get your foot in until they are molded. The tendon guard and aggressive stance will take a game or two to get used to but it is smooth sailing after that.
The skates are very light and comfortable once you get into them .Since the boot is so stiff it is little harder to get your foot in .The flexable tendon guard and aggressive stance take a game to get used to but after that it all good.
Very pleased with my new skates. Good fit, very comfortable. Little pain for first 2 skates but fine after that. I wasn't sure about baking at 200 degrees for 10 minutes, as it said on the box, so I just baked at 170. This may have caused the little pain. Probably would have been perfect.
What a great buy, replaced older Easton's fit was perfect, they do have you sitting forward slightly just like I had my ultra's contoured.
My son loves the unique look and anatomical fit. Very narrow so order up in width
I have worn these a few times now and have noticed a big improvement in my skating. Fit like a glove and seem way more responsive than my old Vapors. I am a little concerned about poor reviews regarding durability but no issues with mine so far. I hope they hold up for a long time cuz they feel great to play in.
I am a heavy skater and these Mako skates have been able to take on my weight with a firm boot. They are light and very comfortable. The rivets below the skate however needed to be changed after a few games. Love them
Great skates and great shipping times as usual.
PATIN LEGER ET CONFORTABLE MEME SANS MOULAGE. LE SEUL DEFAUT, CE SON LES RIVETS SOUS LE PATIN QUI SONT DE MAUVAISES QUALITES. J'AI DU FAIRE CHANGER TOUT LES RIVETS APRES SEULEMENT UNE DIZAINE DE MATCH!
Was very unsure about these skates when they arrived, but after using them I'm very happy with them. They are very aggressive stance which keeps you leaning forward on your toes, as long as they stay durable they are a steal at this price.
Très bons patins. De plus la protection de la bottine a été testé à plusieurs reprises et a passé le test.
Great product at an amazing price. My daughter lover her new skates. Most comfortable skates she has ever had and she was previously wearing high end Graf skates. At this price you cant go wrong.
What an amazing deal these skates are. Great comfort once moulded. The only thing that was a big change for me was the aggressive pitch, but once i got used to it my skating improved dramatically! Best Quality price skate out there
Just bought these skates after years of wearing Bauer supreme, ccm tacks, and Graf skates, these are by far the most comfortable and best skate out of the box, am currently having them profiled but the blade radius was good to begin with. Will recommend these strongly to anyone, especially at the price they're offered at here. Thanks again and am a proud member.
I generally bought bauer vapor skates in the past (Vapor 8, xx, xxx, x5.0) and have also tried Kor 2 skates (also a moldable uniboot - great skate but company went out of business). The Mako skates have been by far the most comfortable skate I've ever used. The break-in period was about one game before I felt really comfortable/confident in them (i.e., going full speed into corners with a defenseman in pursuit & coming out with the puck). It almost feels like i'm wearing running shoes on the ice. I have a wide forefoot & slim ankles & the Mako 8.5 EE width fits me perfectly. As for sizing, I wear size 11 street shoes (New Balance Minimus MB10), so it'd probably be a good idea to try them on somewhere before buying online (note that in bauer skates I use a 9.5D). Further, while maintaining lateral boot stiffness, forward & back flexibility isn't restricted so that you can maximise stride length for speed/turn & cut really sharply. I've worn them for half a season now & there are some issues/concern with how long the material inside the boot will last - as it is already starting to wear down, but besides this, a really great skate!
I found these heat mouldable skates the perfect fit for me. There is very little volume above my forefoot, so the fit is snug. The heel lock is the best of all skates that I have owned in the past (I have tried Graf 703, and CCM U plus Pro). It took a few skates to get use to the aggressive forward pitch of the blade, but no problem after that. I am impressed with the overall skate, the only complaint I have would be the sub par rivets that are used in the skate.
This skate has improved my skating dramatically. The aggressive pitch allows me to have a quick start so i'm already ahead of the competition. At this price its a must buy. Not made for everyone but if you're a aggressive skater and like being on your toes buy these skates
GR8 Skates, sharp looking.high end product; discounted price
didnt expect that, its a really nice fit! love the aggresive pitch, improves agility and gives a great confort once molded. Nothing to say theres no match for that price.
There's not much to say about this skate that hasn't been said online. Extremely light, and true-to-fit thanks to it being so thermo-moldable. Also easy to break into, and a very natural feel. Lightweight, incredibly soft inside, incredibly sturdy outside. Great protection and great comfort. The bright orange really pops out and gives them a really unique look. An amazing pair of skates.
Excellent skates with fit and feel.
The most comfortable skates I've worn. They molded to my feet perfectly and after spending some time getting used to them I feel like they've made a big improvement to my skating. They fit true to size. I wear a 9.5 shoe and an 8D fit perfect.
These skates changed my game. It's the first skates I've worn and forgot I had them in my feet. The fit is very interesting and actually improved the power of my strides. I really have a enhanced range of movement.
These are a pretty decent skate, however they have a few problems. I have been using these skates for one season and from what I can tell they are okay. They are a flagship model skate but they don't necessarily perform like one, at least not for me. At first there was a MAJOR problem with the sides of the skate cutting at my ankles. After about 2 months this went away but I still have marks on my leg from them. The material of the skate is also not the best for durability, as the fabric on mine has sort of rubbed away. Nonetheless, they are fairly decent skates. They are fully heat mouldable, which is awesome. They also look really distinct which is nice. I would recommend this to a friend, but only because of the current price. These skates for $300 is an awesome deal.
Excellent feel, superb fit. Ability to tinker/re-mold if need be. Love them.
